Settings for the best graphics
I'm fairly new to this emulator and I was wondering which settings offered the best graphical experience. The text and images as they are seem a bit blurry and out of focus to me even if I don't full screen the window.
I am using v0.9.5 on PC and have tried playing Patapon 2 and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

You can download the latest PPSSPP dev build here .
Set rendering to Non-buffered and set frameskipping to auto.
check on Multithread if you have a more than 2 cpu core. The other part is up to you, so go ahead and keep on experiment to see if you get the best graphical experience.

To make text sharper, try Texture Scaling to 3x or 4x, there are a few different modes you can choose from.

RE: Settings for the best graphics
Thank you for the replies. I've implemented your suggestions with a small increase in graphical performance. I also unchecked mipmapping.
Anyways hopefully the graphics will be improved as more developments are released. Can't wait to get my ps3 controller in the mail and relive my childhood ^^
EDIT: I've gotten the graphics in game to be very sharp however the text still is not at the same quality. For example either the text is pixelated or not pixelated but blurry with faded stuff around each character. Is this normal or is there a setting I haven't played with yet?

RE: Settings for the best graphics
i found this settings best for 3D games with 2D menus and text
>stretch to display
>VSync
>postprocessing shader
-4xHqGLSL
>rendering mode
-buffered rendering
>texture filtering
-nearest or linear < it really depands on game but in most cases linear is better
>texture scaling
-4x
-hybrid
-deposterize
>hardware transform
>vortex cache
>enable sound < of course
rest options is really up to you
in some games like Ys VI The Ark of Napishtim text have bad filtering i need to do save state and that text is filtered (or was it load state) and as soon as i press anything to move text its back to bad filtered
but other than that this setting works good enough for most of the games
Try AntiMicro graphical program used to map keyboard keys and mouse controls to a gamepad/controller.

Here, we have shared some of the best settings for PPSSPP which will help you to fix slow gaming, graphics, and many more things. So, check out the best settings for PPSSPP.

1. Graphics Settings

The most important thing which should be right is Graphics. If you have one inappropriate graphics then the whole app will not be good. We can say, graphics decide whether you will play the game or not. It shows the ability to play games. There are a few features that make up the graphics settings much good. Check out the settings which are important:

  • Framework controls
  • Performance
  • Hack settings
  • Rendering Mode
  • Features
  • Overlay information
  • Texture Scaling And Filtering

2. Audio Settings

The audio part on this emulator is not proper. It is better to enable the audio settings while you play the game. Instead of having difficulties like going On and Off sound which might be irritating it is good to switch off the audio mode. With some games, the audio works better. If you want you can try out.

3. Developer Settings

Apart from Graphics, the other most important settings are Developer settings. If the system setting is not proper then you can’t play the game. PPSSPP emulator allows users to control a few developer options. Like, select Dynarec (JIT) which is under CPU Core to check gaming performance. On all the games, the settings work properly.

Now, make sure you enable the “Fast Memory” and “I/O on Thread” which is under system settings. Then set the I/O timing method to “Simulate UMD delays.” Once all the changes are made, load the game and start playing. While you play games, you will get the best gaming experience.

4. Controls

Controlling totally depends on the user like how he/she want to control. If you want to play God of War, then you need to access R1 and L1 buttons. If you want to use only the right hand or left hand, then overlapped these two buttons.

With this, it will be easy for you to use these two by using only one finger. And you can also use both of them at once. From the touch buttons, it is better if you remove the Unthrottle button. To do this, go to the Touch button, click on the Visibility tab and un-check the Unthrottle button.
